This one’s a little late this week. Got very busy with deadlines. Sorry guys. Hope your week went well. We’ve been boardgaming like mad lately. Played Last Night on Earth. Dusted off the BSG boardgame which is always fun since it usually ends up with “you’re a frakkin’ cylon.” “No you are!” And tried out A Touch of Evil for the first time which I actually liked better than Arkham Horror.
But that’s enough catching up. Here’s what you may have missed this week in scifi news:
Earlier it was reported that the troubled series The Walking Dead lost another showrunner, Glen Mazzara, citing creative differences. According to THR a new showrunner has been appointed, executive producer Scott Gimple.
But my favourite bit of news is from the White House, where they were forced to respond to a petition to build a Death Star. Needless to say there are no plans on the horizon to build such a device. One of the reasons they gave was: “Why would we spend countless taxpayer dollars on a Death Star with a fundamental flaw that can be exploited by a one-man starship?”
In IGP news, I decided to go on a rant after more talk of sequels came out this week in my latest Dear Studio Executive
You could read Stephanie Caldwell’s recap on the previous week’s episode of Fringe. We’ll have Stephanie’s recap of the finale asap.
Also, I posted the latest trailer for the new SyFy series Defiance.
