Warm Bodies

Iron Man 3

iron man 3
I’ll admit, I’m a little weary of Iron Man 3. But it does have Kiss Kiss Bang Bang director and Predator alum Shane Black at the helm, and I do so love Robert Downey Jr. as Tony Stark. Oh yes, and it looks like we’ll be seeing Ben Kingsley as The Mandarin!

Kick-Ass 2

I don’t know about you guys but I loved Kick-Ass. I’m so glad there’s a sequel, and that Chloe Moretz returns as Hit-Girl who now finds herself struggling in high school. Meanwhile, Red Mist is ready to exact some revenge.

Pacific Rim

Pacific Rim
A movie about giant robots piloted by humans fighting off aliens? If this were a Michael Bay film I wouldn’t give it a second thought. But this isn’t directed by just any director. This is Guillermo Del Toro, and even if it does turn out to be a B-movie in blockbuster disguise, it’ll still be interesting to watch.

Elysium

Matt-Damon-in-Elysium
I loved District 9, so I can’t wait to see what Neil Blomkamp has in store for us in the this movie about a grim future in which the richest people live on a space station while everyone else resides on a ruined Earth, and one man who wants to level the playing field.

Gravity

AlfonsoCuaron625
Okay, so you might remember that I was anticipating watching this movie in 2012, but apparently it was pushed back. Still, I’m very eager to see Alfonso Cuaron’s first scifi outing since Children of Men. Sandra Bullock and George Clooney star as astronauts struggling to survive after debris crashes into their orbiting space station.

The World’s End

worlds-end
The final movie in the Blood and Ice-Cream trilogy is finally here. If you loved Hot Fuzz and Shaun of the Dead, you’ll love this film about a group of friends reuniting in a pub one last time before the apocalypse. Any chance we can get a Jessica Hynes appearance and make it a real Spaced reunion?

Ender’s Game

Years in the making, 2013 is the year we finally get a movie adaptation of Orson Scott Card’s novel about child geniuses sent to Battle School to prepare for a war against an insectoid race that could wipe out the human race. Asa Butterfield plays the lead role of Ender with Harrison Ford as Colonel Graff.

The Hunger Games: Catching Fire

The second novel of the fabulous Hunger Games series sees Katniss Everdeen back in the arena again, for a very special Hunger Games. Personally, I’m a huge fan of the series, and this movie as well as the next ones will prove to all naysayers that the Hunger Games is more than just a Battle Royale rip off.
